The Morning Show
Steve Mann was born in the South… the southern part of New York state, that is, which oddly prepared him well for life in radio and in the Tri-Cities.
Steve started radio in 1980 and jumped into commercial radio in 1981. He spent years waking people up in a full-blown zoo, then showed up at Holston Valley and realized he’d just upgraded to a whole new collection of wild characters — complete with brand-new sound effects that definitely didn’t involve wrapping paper tubes.
At Holston Valley, Steve wears many hats. And no, none of them are to cover a bald head — he has plenty of hair… sense, well, that’s the one thing he could probably use a little more of.
Steve is tall. Not “let’s make it a thing” tall — more like “he sees the weather coming before the app updates” tall.
When he’s not leading the pack and delivering Steve Mann and More Music in the Morning, he’s spending time with his beautiful wife and the smartest grandkid that has ever existed — and yes, Steve will absolutely stand by that.
Steve Mann has been doing this long enough to know that mornings work best when you keep them moving, keep them fun, and don’t take any of it too seriously.
